My Dog

Samantha. That’s her complete name.

“Sammyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! *&%#$%$$&^&*” that’s how we (my sister, my sister’s boyfriend, and I) usually call her. She’s so energetic, so naughty, and so cute to be true. She’s a teckel and I got her from my friend last year. She’s 1 year old now and getting bigger.. um.. no.. i mean getting longer.

As I read from some sources, there are some characteristics of this kind of dog. It is said that this dog is playful, fun (Sammy is totally playful – she can run all over our small rent house without stopping for 10 minutes), known for their prospensity to chase small animals, birds, and tennis balls with great determination and ferocity (I  have proved this.. haha.. Sammy is a good cocroach catcher in our house).

As many other Teckels, Sammy is strong-headed or stubborn. She has a loud bark (she can even wake all neighbourhood up at night).  

She may chew objects in the house to relieve stress. She can destroy everything day (when we all work at office and clinic) and night (when we all sleep tight).

One thing that I learn from her is her courage. Her temperaments and body language give me an impression that she doesn’t know or even care about her small and funny figure. She thinks nothing of challenging a larger dog. We are the ones who usually get terrified looking at her barking a large dog.  

Will tell you more on how we “struggle” with her everyday. It really colors my day somehow.
